Inclusive Education

The Challenge

Systemic discrimination has resulted in alarmingly low literacy rates among marginalized women and girls. Many communities lack access to schools, and girls often face stigma, poverty, early marriage, and gender bias that prioritize boys’ education over theirs. These barriers deny girls the opportunity to learn, lead, and break cycles of exclusion.

Our Approach

We believe education is a foundation for empowerment, leadership, and long-term community transformation.

What We Do

  • Support access to basic and adult literacy education

  • Promote girls’ education and retention

  • Provide leadership and life-skills learning opportunities

  • Advocate against early marriage and educational discrimination

Who We Serve

Girls and women from historically marginalized Somali  communities with limited access to education.
